I apologize for the long break between updates. Over the last few weeks we have moved out of our home in Denton, moved into my parents home in Flower Mound, found a place to live in Seattle, and moved our things in at the new house! To say that it has been a whirlwind might be a bit of an understatement.
The Lord has been so gracious to us in continuing to line things up with our transition from Texas to Seattle. I find myself at times during this journey extremely stressed and anxious, and yet the Lord in His mercy and love continues to provide at every turn.
I spent 3 1/2 days in Seattle last weekend looking at homes that we might be able to rent, while Deedra remained here in Texas! She was definitely putting her trust in me and the Lord, letting me pick out the house and her seeing the options only through text message pictures! After 22 hrs in the car, 420 miles in the same 5 neighborhoods, and nearly 30 showings, we ended up putting an application in on only 1 house. I left Seattle Monday afternoon without a guarantee that we had the place and our things from Texas in transit; which stressed me out a bit. However, the Lord reminded me why I need not be anxious for anything when on Wednesday morning we received news that we had the home and through a flurry of different events and the help of several friends in Seattle, the Lord graciously allowed us to get the keys to the house and get our stuff moved in yesterday morning!
We are excited about the opportunity to be in this home and neighborhood and pray that we will have the opportunity to make this house a place where many people (including our twins!) hear the gospel over and over again.
We had been asking the Lord for a place that would allow us to host people easily and also a place that would allow my sister (Samantha) to have some space and her own bath room as she will be moving in with us in February to help us take care of the twins and to attend law school in the area. This home had everything that we had been praying for and more. We are so grateful for the Lord’s kind provision.
Thank you for your prayers through this transition. Please continue to pray for Deedra as she has been dealing with “All Day” sickness with the pregnancy. She has been a champ, but the constant tiredness, nausea, and other symptoms are beginning to wear on her physically and emotionally. She will be training her replacement at The Village over the next couple of weeks, which is a bitter-sweet experience, so continue to lift her up in that as well.
The twins are doing well, praise the Lord! We had another sonogram last week and they are getting so big! We have a couple more doctors visits here before we leave for Seattle. Pray that we find a good OBGYN there.
Again, we can not thank you enough for your prayers and support for us as we continue on this journey. We love you and are grateful for you. God bless!
